Rotary Distict 9810 Conference - 2010/11

There were some fabulous speakers including a ripper RIPPR John Blount,
who was passionate, well spoken and entertaining.
We were enthralled to get a first-hand account of the troubled situation in Ethiopia from the amazing Valerie Browning.
And, a somewhat frightening account of our global water situation from Professor Hubert Gijzen.

We also got to meet and hear from some of the inbound and outbound exchange students from around the district.

Along with the great speakers were some outstanding performers like Grace Bawden, an up and coming opera star ...
... a national treasure in
Uncle Jimmy Little AO ...
... and a tremendous cooking demonstration from Simon Bryant.

We also managed to catch up with Wendy and Paul at our club dinner Friday night.

But the couple of the
night was undoubtedly
Denis and Darren.

The Gala dinner saw some of us dress up in theme ...

... and some just dress up.

We also shared the table with a couple from Ringwood and their delightful exchange student from Switzerland.

Plus some entertainment from none other than Normie Rowe.

And here's the whole team.

Outside the conference Darren and Jeff found time to relax ...
... as did Sue and Steve ...
... and Steve, Sue and Janine in Halls Gap on the way home.
